Job Description: Estimator – Luxury Residential Construction

Client Location: Naples, Florida

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 (DOE) + Comprehensive Benefits

Our client, a premier builder of ultra-luxury, architecturally significant custom homes, has retained us to identify an accomplished Estimator to join their elite team in Naples. This individual will play a pivotal role in the preconstruction and budgeting phases of landmark residences valued at $10M–$25M+, working alongside some of the most respected architects, designers, and craftsmen in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for high-end custom residential projects, from conceptual budgets through to final GMP proposals.
• Analyze architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and design intent to identify scope, materials, and cost implications.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to ensure complete and competitive pricing.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive cost databases, historical pricing, and benchmarking systems.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations without compromising quality or design integrity.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings, providing input on constructability, sequencing, and logistics.
• Assist with procurement strategies, project budgets, and handover to project management teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the luxury custom home construction sector, ideally with projects exceeding $10M in value.
• Strong understanding of high-end residential building systems, finishes, and specialty trades.
• Advanced proficiency in estimating software (such as Sage, ProEst, or Bluebeam) and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to produce precise takeoffs and cost breakdowns.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface professionally with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
• Deep knowledge of South Florida construction methods, materials, and local permitting requirements (Naples and Collier County experience preferred).
