Essential Job Duties:

1. Oversee daily marker room, spreading, and cutting operations to ensure efficient workflow, accuracy, and on time production.
2. Plan, organize, and prioritize departmental workload to meet production schedules and cost targets.
3. Manage the full marker‑making process, including patternmaking, grading, testing, and marker development.
4. Train and supervise marker makers in the use of computerized marker‑making systems (Gerber AccuMark).
5. Maintain and update the pattern library to ensure current and accurate product specifications.
6. Manage cutting room workflow and staffing to ensure precision, quality, and order accuracy.
7. Review and inspect cut work to ensure compliance with quality and production standards.
8. Ensure all cutting and marker equipment is properly maintained, including Gerber machines and hand‑cutting tools.
9. Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline team members in collaboration with supervisors and the Plant Manager.
10. Collaborate with Scheduling, Operations, and Quality teams to align workflow with production targets.
11. Coordinate with Warehouse personnel to ensure fabric and material availability.
12. Implement and enforce safety and quality protocols across all cutting and marker operations.
13. Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with company standards.
14. Develop and monitor performance metrics to drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost improvements.
15. Maintain departmental records and documentation, including production files and historical data.
16. Identify and implement process improvements related to accuracy, fabric utilization, and workflow.
17. Perform additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

1. 5-10 years of hands‑on experience in apparel manufacturing, specifically in marker making, spreading, and cutting operations.
2. Extensive experience (5–10 years) with Gerber AccuMark or comparable computerized marker‑making systems, including patternmaking, grading, and marker optimization.
3. Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams in a production or manufacturing environment.
4. Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric utilization, and cost‑efficient cutting practices.
5. Proficiency with production software and computer applications, including pattern systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train, coach, and collaborate across departments.
7. Experience working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven manufacturing environment with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
8. Ability to read, write, and understand basic English.
9. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Required Qualifications:

• Legal Requirement: Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) to comply with federal contracting regulations. Must be a US person as defined by ITAR.
• Language Proficiency: All candidates must be fluent in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write at a professional level.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

1. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing computer‑based tasks, reviewing markers, or overseeing production activities.
2. Manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination to handle patterns, fabric samples, files, and small tools.
3. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, including rolls of fabric, files, equipment components, or production materials.
4. Mobility to move throughout the facility, including the marker room, floor cutting warehouse, and office areas.
5. Visual acuity to review markers, inspect cut work, operate computers, and monitor machinery.
6. Ability to bend, reach, and stretch to access materials, equipment, and storage areas as needed.
7. Strength and coordination to operate or assist with cutting equipment when required.
