Education
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy School.
Experience / Qualifications
- Licensed to practice Physical Therapy or Occuptional Therapy in the State of Florida
- American Heart Assocation BLS Certfication for Health Care Providers
- Pelvic Health Certification
- Previous experience or clinical rotations in treating Pelvic patients in an Outpatient setting preferred
- Two years of experience preferred
Position Summary
The Rehab Therapist Specialist will deliver safe and competent therapy as ordered by a physician. Plans, organizes, and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions including chronic pelvic pain, myofascial pain syndrome, and bowel and bladder incontinence.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality therapy services for patients in accordance with the principals and practices of physical/occupational therapy.
- Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care.
- Maintains positive level of interaction with patients and co-workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
