Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing speech therapy evaluations and treatments in accordance with the established hospital and departmental policies and procedures and under the guidelines of the board of professional regulations and the speech therapy practice act. Maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care at all times.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education.
M.A. or M.S Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Graduated from an accredited school of Speech Therapy,
Required licensures/certifications
SLP Licensed in the State of Florida.
Current BLS
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills
Experience
Knowledge of the principles and applications of Speech Therapy evaluations and treatments. Capability to evaluate and assess the patient's condition. Knowledge of Infection Control, and Body Mechanics Techniques to be applied during patient care. One year experience or Speech Language Pathologist in their Clinical Fellowship Year will be considered.
