Job Title: Intake Clerk/ Clinical Assistant
Overview:
The Intake Clerk/Clinical Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the Clinical Management Department, ensuring smooth operations and assisting with patient communications, documentation, and compliance follow-up. This role is key to maintaining efficiency and supporting the agency’s commitment to quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

Triage incoming patient calls and facilitate inquiries or requests.

Communicate updates via phone, email, or written correspondence at the direction of the Patient Services Manager (PSM).

Handle patient, family, staff, and vendor complaints confidentially and route information to the appropriate parties.

Complete required documentation accurately and ensure all activities are properly recorded.

Perform all clerical tasks necessary to support the Patient Services Managers.

Assist in data collection for patient surveys.

Follow up with nursing staff on documentation and compliance-related matters.

Support overall agency operations through related administrative tasks.

Consistently meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in all documentation.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in healthcare or a related field preferred.

Strong customer service skills with effective verbal and written communication.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and critical-thinking abilities.

Proficiency in basic computer applications; bilingual skills a plus.
