Job Summary
We are looking for a high-performing Automotive Sales Representative to join our successful dealership. If you have a proven track record of sales experience and fantastic communication skills, we want to hear from you. As an Automotive Sales Representative, you will grow our customer base by identifying potential customers, keeping in touch with existing customers, and making sure that everyone has a positive purchasing experience. You will greet guests and build rapport, answer questions about vehicles, and facilitate test drives. Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they arrive at the shop
- Create a professional environment that builds rapport and puts customers at ease
- Answer customer questions about services required
- Use of a software to maintain a customer database you will use to drive
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Create detailed repair orders and communicate customer needs to technicians.
- Provide repair and maintenance estimates, explain services, and obtain customer approval.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure availability of necessary components.
- Maintain communication with customers during the service process and provide updates as needed.
- Review completed work with customers, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction before vehicle delivery.
- Upsell recommended maintenance services based on manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage service appointments and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and transactions.
- Handle warranty and insurance documentation when applicable.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the service department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; a bachelors degree is preferred
- Valid state-issued drivers license and clean driving record are required
- Prior sales experience in a dealership or showroom setting is preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage time and serve customers with little supervision
