A receptionist/front desk professional is responsible for greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. They serve as the first point of contact for clients, patients, or guests and help create a welcoming and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and route phone calls and take messages
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars
- Check visitors in and out
- Handle basic administrative tasks (filing, data entry, copying)
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Provide general information and assist with questions
- Support office staff as needed
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous receptionist or customer service experience preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills (email, word processing, scheduling software)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
