Job Title: IS Technician - Helpdesk
Pay Rate: $17- $19/hour. on W2 without benefits.
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Location: Palm Beach, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Description:
- The Field Service Technician supports CVS retail locations across Palm Beach and Broward County by installing, diagnosing, and repairing store and pharmacy technology, including POS systems, printers, PCs, networking, and related peripherals. This is a field-based, patient-facing role requiring strong technical troubleshooting, excellent customer service, and the ability to independently manage travel, workload, and service commitments using a personal reliable vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair retail and pharmacy IT equipment including POS and self-checkout systems, printers, PCs, thin clients, scanners, networking, cabling, and related peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve incidents within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide professional, patient-facing customer service to CVS store teams while working onsite across multiple locations.
- Travel between CVS locations within Palm Beach and Broward County using a reliable personal vehicle.
- Adhere to all CVS compliance standards, processes, and procedures.
- Independently manage daily workload, inventory, overtime, documentation, and administrative tasks.
- Maintain current knowledge of technologies, tools, policies, and support procedures.
Requirements:
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED (Tech school preferred or equivalent IT experience).
- Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer or retail IT hardware (POS, printers, PCs, networking, peripherals).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong organization and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable in a patient-facing, retail environment.
- Ability to support a flexible schedule in a 24×7 operations environment when required.
- Own reliable vehicle required and willingness to travel between locations in the assigned territory.
