Location:
This position is based in South Jacksonville, FL.
Your Role as an Intake Specialist:
- Serve as the first step in the patient care process by managing incoming referrals and ensuring all required documents and orders are complete.
- Process referrals with precision, handling a high volume of documents efficiently.
- Collaborate regularly with the operations team and sales department to ensure seamless coordination.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Processing new patient intakes.
- Conducting eligibility and benefit checks.
- Navigating EMR systems and other acceptance portals.
- Communicating with sales, operations, and referral sources.
- Managing and reconciling insurance changes on a weekly basis.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency (required).
- Ability to quickly triage referrals and prioritize as needed (required).
- Excellent time management skills (required).
- At least one recent year of experience with medical intake processes (required).
- At least one recent year of experience working with the following: SPOT, Availity, Florida Medicaid portal, UHC payer portal, and eClinicalWorks (required).
- Detail-oriented and capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service skills.

- Compensation: $19-$21 per hour
