Job Title: Trial Attorney – Personal Injury (Plaintiff)
Location: Boca Raton, and Miami, Florida
Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 base salary + performance bonus
(Up to $200,000 base for candidates with 10+ years of relevant plaintiff PI trial experience)
Position Overview
A well-established plaintiff personal injury law firm in Boca Raton, and Miami, Florida is seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to handle high-value personal injury matters from pre-suit through verdict. This position is ideal for a seasoned litigator who thrives in the courtroom and has a proven track record as first chair in jury trials.
The ideal candidate will be confident, strategic, and highly skilled in trial advocacy, case development, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as 1st Chair in personal injury jury trials
- Manage a full litigation caseload from filing through trial and post-trial motions
- Conduct depositions of parties, experts, and treating physicians
- Draft and argue substantive motions (MSJ, Daubert, motions in limine, etc.)
- Develop case strategy, liability theories, and damages models
- Prepare clients and witnesses for deposition and trial
- Negotiate high-value settlements when appropriate
- Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and support staff
- Maintain strong communication with clients throughout litigation
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of plaintiff personal injury experience required
- Minimum of 5 personal injury jury trials as 1st Chair required
- Strong trial presence and courtroom confidence
- Experience handling catastrophic injury and high-exposure cases preferred
- Excellent deposition and cross-examination skills
- Strong legal research and writing abilities
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative litigation team
