Location: Remote with some travel

Why Youll Love This Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Auditor with a solid foundation in IT or cybersecurity concepts. In this role, youll lead internal audits for clients across a range of industries and provide actionable insights to prepare them for successful external certification audits.

While this is not a junior position, were especially interested in auditors who want to expand into theISO 27001, NIST, and CMMC domainswith the support and training well provide.

What Youll Do:

• Lead internal audits for ISO-based Quality Management Systems (primarily ISO 9001) and supplier compliance.
• Evaluate customer documentation, processes, and systems for readiness against relevant ISO and cybersecurity standards.
• Work directly with clients to prepare audit reports, communicate findings, and provide actionable improvement recommendations.
• Help assess and support compliance efforts related to cybersecurity frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC.
• Collaborate with other team members to continuously refine and improve our audit tools and methodology.
  

What Were Looking For:

Required Experience:

• • 35 years of hands-on experience conducting
    internal or supplier audits against ISO 9001 or other QMS standards.
  • Solid understanding of
    ISO 9001:2015auditing guidelines.
  • Familiarity with common quality system elements such as corrective actions, document control, risk management, etc.

  Desired Technical Skills:

  • Foundational knowledge in
    IT systems or cybersecurity, such as:
    • Networking, servers, Active Directory, or ERP systems
    • Exposure to NIST, CMMC, or ISO 27001 frameworks (formal audit experience not required)
  • Ability to learn and apply IT compliance principles to real-world client engagements

  Preferred (Not Required):

  • ISO 27001, 14001, or other Lead Auditor certifications
  • Experience auditing small businesses in manufacturing, IT services, or defense-related industries.
