Position Summary
The CAD Drafter is responsible for developing new project designs and refining existing ones. This role involves independently creating precise 3D models and detailed technical drawings of products, ensuring they meet the highest standards for production.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Design & Drafting: Create, edit, and manage 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software.

Revision & Maintenance: Revise existing models and drawings to align with current production standards and engineering updates.

Documentation: Prepare illustrations and other reference materials for technical documentation and manuals.

Collaboration: Provide design feedback to the production team, focusing on the intent, fit, and functionality of parts and assemblies.

Data Management: Maintain and organize the engineering database and file structure.

Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure product and company integrity.

Prioritization: Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and organizational needs.

Information Gathering: Source and compile information from various departments and resources to complete assigned tasks.
Qualifications and Skills

Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with 3D modeling and drafting software, with a strong understanding of technical and analytical concepts.

Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with machining, manufacturing processes, and general assembly techniques.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software) and comfortable with basic measuring tools and techniques.

Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, a positive attitude, dependability, and a self-motivated work ethic.

Physical Demands: This role requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. The ability to lift up to 30 lbs. is also required.
Education and Experience

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: One year of professional experience in a drafting or design role.
