What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing automated print machinery and components from concept to development.

  • Providing technical support for customer inquiries and pre-sales consultations.

  • Collaborating with Sales Engineers to estimate costs and design hours for new projects.

  • Ensuring projects meet all quality, performance, and budgetary expectations.

  • Working closely with R&D to develop new automated product concepts with a focus on reliability and cost-efficiency.

  • Performing risk assessments and ensuring all systems meet ANSI/ISO 12100 safety standards.

  • Creating and maintaining drawings, pneumatic schematics, and machine documentation.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical and controls engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and automation systems.

  • Participating in client meetings and adjusting designs based on feedback and system requirements.

  • Supporting machinery testing and validation to meet performance goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in designing automated machinery—ideally in an industrial or capital equipment environment.

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and a strong grasp of mechanical design principles.

  • Solid understanding of automation systems, motion control, and mechatronics is a plus.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and experience with cost estimating and budgeting.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, especially electrical and controls engineering.

  • Confident in customer-facing interactions via phone, video, and in-person.
