Currently hiring for Welder/Pipefitters in Apopka, FL for projects involving chilled water systems. The ideal Welder/Pipefitter candidates has 3+ years of experience welding and pipefitting, specifically within chilled water or HVAC systems. Must possess a valid JLA Badge. Pay begins at $28 - $32+ depending on skill set and level of experience.
Welder/Pipefitter Responsibilities:
- Select and organize pipes based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Review blueprints and prepare necessary materials.
- Weld pipes using various techniques and inspect welds for quality.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to meet specified shapes and sizes.
- Conduct pressure tests on pipe systems to check for leaks using pressure gauge kits.
- Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and welding tools.
- Modify and service pipe systems and components as needed.
- Work collaboratively with contractors, construction crews, and mechanical engineers to meet project specifications.
- Follow safety policies and regulations to ensure a safe, risk-free work environment.
Welder/Pipefitter Responsibilities:
- Valid JLA Badge required
- 3+ years experience as a welder/pipefitter working with chilled water/HVAC systems
- Able to travel locally as needed
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
