Respected Broward County Florida based law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law/Divorce Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. Ideal candidates will be empathetic and compassionate with a commitment to protecting the clients’ rights through negotiation or litigation. Thoughtfully assisting clients every step of the way through the legal process, helping them develop realistic, long-term resolutions, protecting their legal interests and working relentlessly toward favorable outcomes. Successful candidates will have 3+ years of family law experience and have experience litigating cases from start to finish. The position is full-time and onsite.
Responsibilities include:
- Independently manage a caseload from inception to conclusion in all areas of family law including divorce, post-divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, paternity issues, domestic violence and prenuptial agreements
- Preparing and arguing motions
- Handling discovery
- Conducting depositions
- Attending mediations
- Conducting legal research
- Staying current with changes in family law and legal practice
Qualifications:
- Must have a Florida Bar license in good standing
- Must have 3+ years of Family Law experience and litigation experience
- Must have familiarity with Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure
- Must have experience with discovery, depositions, hearings, meditations and trial prep.
- Must have excellent research and exceptional writing skills to draft petitions, responsive pleadings, motions, discovery, and all other pertinent pleadings in family law cases
- Must have exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Must be results driven with the ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action
- Must have outstanding written and oral communication and organizational skills
