Rec Center Attendant
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness around and throughout the Recreational common areas.
• Assists Office in coordinating the setup and oversight of Rec Center events (Board meetings, rentals, community functions, etc.)
• This position is responsible for cleaning projects requiring advanced training and demonstrated skill. Inspects work performed in assigned area. Positions may be indoors to maintain the interior of the Recreation Center, outdoors to maintain the exterior, including the pool deck, playground, pavilions, and sports courts, or a mixture of all.
Organization Structure:
Position reports directly to the Property Manager and may have an assigned Team Lead from time to time to direct daily functions. Position is responsible for maintaining the common areas/common grounds in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
• Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance to OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports all cleaning and maintenance discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures that security procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintains working relationship with office and maintenance staff.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas. Maintains assigned areas in good working condition.
• As applicable, cleans restrooms: Sweeps and mops floors. Refills all dispensers such as hand towels, toilet paper and hand soap. Cleans toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and counters. Empties/removes trash. Reports and discrepancies or deficiencies to Supervisor.
• Sets up/tears down tables and chairs for Rec Center events.
• Remains present through Rec Center rentals to ensure adherence of Rules and offer assistance to residents as needed.

Physical Demands:
• Position requires extensive time outdoors and around the property. Must be able to work in hot, humid and wet conditions.
• Ability to push/pull large trash bins.
• Work in upright/standing position for long periods of time.
• Crawl in small and tight spaces.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
• Repetitive motions with wrists, hands and fingers.
• Complete all required forms.
• Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
• Climb ladders and work at high levels.
