POSITION SUMMARY:
12-Hour Day Shift with Rotating Weekends
Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radio logic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Accountable for the professional and technical ability to perform high quality examinations with minimal supervision and within the protocols and guidelines set by the Department of Imaging Services. Responsible for maintaining and stocking of supplies, rooms and equipment as outlined by department supervision. Expected to maintain high standards of technical competence and be an example and assist other technical personnel and student radiographers within the department. Required to participate in on-call coverage as part of the modality of the essential of the job requirement
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital. Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
- Graduate of an approved Program of Radiologic Technology
- Current FL Radiology Tech License
- ARRT registered
- Current BLS Certification
- Professional demeanor and appearance
