Tri-Co Communications, a Motorola Solutions Inc. Manufacturer Representative and Elite Service Partner is currently searching for a Field Service Technician.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to assist our customer base by implementing, maintaining, and repairing both business-critical and mission-critical communications at a subscriber (radio) and infrastructure level. Field Service Technicians are responsible for the implementation of Motorola Solutions' two-way communications products. The Field Service department is on call 24/7/365 to support mission-critical systems for our public safety customers.
Responsibilities include the optimization and support of complex communication systems.

Experience as a Communications System Technician

Experience with P25 Systems, LMR RF systems, wired/wireless communication systems, networking equipment, IT networks, and subscriber equipment.

Experience with the installation of mobile radios into various locations (vehicles, rack equipment, and custom configurations).

Experience running cables throughout buildings.

Experience removing and installing antenna systems on the exterior of buildings.

Ability to attend and participate in large-scale preventative maintenance checks on end-user vehicles and communication equipment.

Experience installing camera/security system is a plus, but not required.

Must be able to successfully pass and maintain the ability to pass background checks and obtain security clearances as well as possess and maintain a clean driving record.

Ability to be on-call 24/7/365

Must be highly computer literate with proficiency in Google Suite of products (Drive, Gmail, Sheets, Docs).

Must have strong self-management skills and “people” skills to work closely with Motorola’s customers and subcontractor partner community, as well as Motorola Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and customer service teams.

Must be self-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervision.

Must be able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations

Experience in the configuration and testing of Motorola's two-way radio and subscriber products.

FCC license and industry certifications such as ETA are a plus.
