Job Description

Hiring 2 full time Medical Assistants to work as an Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Scribe to join our team. 1 year medical assisting experience preferred. Previous ophthalmology experience a plus!

Responsibilities: Obtaining medical history to include Chief Complaint, past medical history, medications, blood pressure; Ophthalmology testing with state-of-the-art all new equipment (auto refractor, auto lensometer, visual field, fundus photos, OCT, digital refractors, LED slit lamps, digital vision screens, topography, endothelial cell count and biometry), answering patient phone calls for doctor, refilling medications, reading medical records for discussion with doctor.

Work side by side with trainers and feel confident in your ability to work independently with the support of your team after on the job training. Medical assistants in other subspecialties are encouraged to apply. COA candidates are compensated accordingly.

Job requires 6 hours of standing/walking during the day. Candidates must be computer proficient and have familiarity with Gmail, Google drive, Excel, Word, and electronic health records (or similar). Current EHR: Nextech.

Looking to hire long term candidate who works well independently to reach team goals.

*Pay rate based on quality of work ranging from $16.00 to $22.00/hr or more based on experience and proven results. Reference verification of previous work abilities and successful results required. Pay increase at 90 day based on successful work performance. Bonus/commission opportunities available.

Office Hours:

7:00am - 5:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

7:00am - 4:30pm Thursday

7:00am - 2:00pm Friday

* Hours have flexibility based on office needs
