Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic Fort Lauderdale team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Florida Family Law experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is fluent in both English and Spanish.

In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll support Family Law attorneys through all phases of litigation, from drafting pleadings and coordinating discovery to preparing financial disclosures and assisting with trial preparation.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities:

  • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, and conducting research on legal articles
  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, affidavits, subpoenas, discoveries, and financial disclosures and statements
  • Maintain organized, accessible case files to support hearings and trial,s and carefully track deadlines
  • File motions and coordinate with process servers
  • Communicate and meet with clients in both English and Spanish to gather case information and address procedural questions to provide exceptional service.
  • Utilize legal tech tools such as Clio, Family Law Software, Zoom, VoIP phones, and timekeeping platforms

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Florida Family Law Paralegal experience
  • Completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies
  • Proficiency with legal research databases, Microsoft Office, and case management systems
  • Comfort with standard office equipment (scanner, copier, printer)
  • A proactive, independent mindset, collaborative spirit, great time-management and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail


Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
