SUMMARY: The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer and related conditions. This role requires expert use of mammography equipment, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and collaboration with clinical and interdisciplinary teams to support timely, accurate imaging services. Compassion, safety, and quality standards are central to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or a related field. · ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (M) Mammography Certification required or must obtain within a specified timeframe. · State licensure (if applicable).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in mammography preferred, with experience in diagnostic breast imaging a plus.
  • Proficiency in 3D (Tomosynthesis) mammography, familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
  • Experience in stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies.
  • Knowledge of MQSA and ACR accreditation requirements.
  • Prior work experience in a breast center or hospital-based mammography department.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to clearly present ideas and recommendations, both verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Flexibility in work assignments and scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of quality improvement processes and NCQA standards.
  • Strong computer skills and EMR proficiency.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to the patients and to the providers of Broward Community and Family Health Centers
