Job Description

About the Company:

Join a nationally recognized, award-winning engineering firm renowned for shaping the skyline with iconic and complex building projects. Our portfolio features landmark structures that define cities and communities, born from a commitment to technical excellence, innovative problem-solving, and collaborative design. We operate as a close-knit, innovation-driven team where trust, mentorship, and professional pride form the foundation of our culture. We believe in empowering engineers at every level to tackle high-profile challenges, providing them with the support and autonomy needed to grow rapidly and make a significant impact from day one. Our environment is entrepreneurial by design—one where brilliant minds come together to solve the industry’s most difficult problems, fostering a deep sense of accomplishment and collective success.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be immersed in the design and analysis of complex building systems across a diverse range of high-impact projects, from soaring commercial towers to intricate cultural facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop deep expertise across multiple materials and cutting-edge analysis tools while contributing directly to the creation of landmark structures. You will not only execute critical design work but also engage in inspections, field investigations, and collaborative problem-solving, all within a culture that prioritizes long-term professional development and continuous learning. This role is designed for an engineer eager to take on responsibility, accelerate their career, and thrive under the mentorship of top industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed design and analysis of structural systems for complex new building projects, utilizing materials including structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and post-tensioned concrete.

  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project teams to develop calculations, design narratives, plans, and construction details that meet stringent safety, performance, and code requirements.

  • Utilize advanced structural engineering software—including RAM Structural System, ETABS, and related analysis platforms—to model building behavior, run simulations, and validate design approaches.

  • Prepare, detail, and coordinate structural drawings and Building Information Models (BIM) using Revit Structure, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and MEP systems.

  • Conduct and document structural engineering inspections and field investigations for both new and existing structures, providing clear findings and recommendations.

  • Perform thorough reviews of plans, calculations, shop drawings, and construction documents to ensure accuracy, constructability, and adherence to project specifications.

  • Support project teams during construction administration phases, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and visiting project sites as required.

  • Communicate effectively with internal team members, external clients, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.

  • Contribute actively to a team culture focused on technical innovation, knowledge sharing, quality assurance, and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; a Master’s degree with a structures focus is highly advantageous.

  • Two (2) or more years of progressive, hands-on structural engineering experience within a consulting or design-build environment.

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification with a clear path and eligibility to obtain a P.E. license.

  • Demonstrated experience with industry-standard structural analysis and design software, including RAM Structural System, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar platforms.

  • Practical, working knowledge of and experience with Revit Structure for the production of coordinated structural drawings and models.

  • Direct experience in the design of new building structures within the United States, with a strong understanding of U.S. building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) is strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

  • Outstanding organizational abilities, a keen attention to detail, and a proven capacity for effective teamwork.

  • A self-motivated, proactive, and intellectually curious mindset, with a demonstrated eagerness to learn, take on new responsibilities, and grow professionally.

Why Join Our Team?

  • Work on Legacy Projects:& Contribute to award-winning, high-profile projects that become iconic parts of the national landscape, offering unparalleled portfolio-building opportunities.

  • Tackle Complex Challenges:& Engage with technically sophisticated engineering problems daily, expanding your expertise and critical-thinking skills in a stimulating, fast-paced environment.
