Position Summary
The Designer I role offers an opportunity to contribute to both the creative and technical aspects of architectural design. Working closely with senior designers and project teams, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all project phases — from concept sketches to construction documentation. You’ll be part of a team that transforms ideas into buildable, meaningful architecture while developing your skills in design thinking, software, and project workflows.
Key Responsibilities

Support senior designers by producing accurate Revit-based drawings, construction details, and presentation materials.

Create 2D and 3D sketches and visualizations to explore and communicate design concepts.

Assist with design development, graphics, and preparation of technical and client presentation packages.

Contribute to research and storytelling that strengthens project vision and design intent.

Maintain organized project documentation and ensure drawings meet codes, standards, and OBMI guidelines.

Attend meetings, track deliverables, and collaborate with project managers and consultants.

Explore computational design tools (e.g., Grasshopper) to enhance innovation.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree a plus).

3–5 years of professional experience as an emerging designer.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Rhino; Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Strong foundation in architectural drafting and visualization techniques.

Understanding of professional standards (AIA, RIBA, ARB, or equivalent) and building codes.

Knowledge of computational design tools such as Grasshopper is an advantage.

Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
