Job DescriptionAppleOne is assisting a Law Firm in Orlando that is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for their fast-paced environment. Knowledge of a case management system such as Aderant Total Office, formerly Client Profiles, is preferred. Ability to keep case and client matters confidential, familiarity with law, legal procedures/protocols, and court systems is required. Organization is a must.
Job Duties:
• Minimum 3 to 5+ years experience with Litigation
• Trial attendance and assistance
• Thorough understanding of the Litigation process
• Manage full caseload
• Prepare medical chronologies/records summaries/billing expense summaries
• Working with/locating experts for records reviewing, CMEs and trial, including preparation of expert materials
• Analyze medical bills and collateral source records
• Draft all required pleadings, including discovery responses
• Draft Expert Disclosures, Witness & Exhibit Lists, and prepare exhibits for trial
• Mediation, deposition, and trial preparation with attorney
• A thorough command of the English language including grammar and spelling
• Knowledge & understanding of billing to exceed monthly billing minimum (ABA billing codes, Timeslips/Timesheets)
• Aderant Total Office formerly known as Client Profiles (experience with a case management software)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ShareFile & Dropbox
