Summary
The Vice President of Planning is a strategic leader responsible for driving financial success and profitability across Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Wholesale channels. This role oversees supply chain, demand, and business planning functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is based in Miami, Florida.
Key Responsibilities

Financial & Strategic Planning
Collaborate with the President of DTC & Wholesale to develop financial budgets and brand-specific plans that meet gross margin and profitability targets. -
Team Leadership & Development
Build and lead a high-performing team of omni-channel planners and managers. Promote professional growth and foster a culture of accountability and excellence. -
Operational Excellence
Define and implement best practices across planning functions. Ensure effective communication between Planning, Stores, Merchandising, Purchasing, Sourcing, and Warehousing. -
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
Drive high in-stock rates across stores and e-commerce while optimizing inventory turnover. Lead initiatives to improve supply chain and logistics performance. -
Business Analysis & Optimization
Enhance margin performance through GMROI analysis and ensure strong returns on asset investments. -
Market & Competitor Insights
Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform planning decisions. Partner with buyers and leadership to develop financially sound strategies. -
Technology & Systems
Collaborate with IT teams to identify and implement tools that improve business evaluation and planning processes. -
Cross-Functional Communication
Provide monthly updates to senior leadership, highlighting key issues, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and retail math skills
- Proven success in DTC and wholesale planning across multiple brands
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and internal planning systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Ability to collaborate with senior leadership to achieve corporate objectives
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10+ years of experience in retail and/or wholesale buying and planning
- Prior upper-management experience is essential
