At Tech Marine Systems, we are committed to delivering bespoke outfitting solutions to the marine industry. We are currently seeking a skilled Automatic Door Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic door systems aboard various cruise ships. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure our systems operate reliably, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and maintain automatic doors on cruise ships
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical door components
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, marine regulations, and customer specifications
  • Provide technical support and on-site diagnostics to resolve system malfunctions efficiently
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Significant amount of field work (on cruise ships)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical systems preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing automatic doors, ideally in marine, industrial, or commercial settings
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver’s license and passport; willingness to travel as required
  • Ability to lift and carry as well as perform physically demanding tasks including climbing, stooping, and working in confined spaces
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
