Position Summary

The HVAC Division Manager oversees the daily operations, strategic planning, and growth initiatives for the HVAC division. This position is responsible for managing teams, ensuring project efficiency, maintaining quality and safety standards, and achieving financial targets. The role requires leadership, technical expertise, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business development.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Operations & Management

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the HVAC division, including service, installation, and new construction.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet customer and project needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, local codes, and company policies.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate technicians, supervisors, and administrative staff.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans.

Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage division budgets, forecasts, and profit and loss (P&L) performance.
  • Monitor job costing, margin performance, and labor efficiency.
  • Implement strategies to improve profitability and reduce operational costs.

Customer Relations & Quality Control

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure excellent workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including new business, service contracts, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to secure new projects.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive landscape.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in HVAC operations, including team management.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems, installations, and service protocols.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, lead teams, and drive profitability.
  • Valid driver’s license; HVAC certifications (EPA, NATE) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with HVAC software, CRM platforms, scheduling tools, and MS Office.
