Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant for a highly regarded, top-tier boutique law firm. This is an in-office role requiring a seasoned litigation professional with strong state and federal court experience who can support demanding attorneys and complex commercial matters.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys handling complex commercial litigation matters
• Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence in state and federal courts
• Manage electronic filings (e-filing) and monitor court dockets, deadlines, and calendars
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials, including preparation of binders and exhibits
• Handle discovery management, including document production, organization, and review
• Maintain case files, manage document databases, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant
• Strong experience supporting state and federal litigation matters
• In-depth knowledge of court rules, filing procedures, and litigation deadlines
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• High attention to detail, discretion, and reliability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and litigation support tools; experience with document management systems preferred
