Location: Hybrid – Based near main office

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Schedule: Hybrid Work Schedule

Salary Range: $91,000/year

Start Date: ASAP


About the Role

We're looking for a strategic and dynamic Manager, Instructional Design to lead the development and deployment of innovative, competency-based learning programs. This role is central to shaping and delivering educational experiences that align with both organizational goals and employee development needs.

The successful candidate will oversee a talented team of instructional designers, media developers, and external partners. You’ll guide the creation of high-impact learning content and ensure programs are designed and delivered using best practices rooted in ADDIE and AGILE methodologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of new training initiatives.
  • Define project goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Oversee creation of engaging, standards-aligned learning experiences across formats: eLearning, instructor-led, hybrid.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to gather technical content and translate it into impactful instructional materials.
  • Conduct gap analyses and learning needs assessments to support continuous improvement.
  • Manage third-party vendors and contractors—ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Coach and mentor internal team members, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks, including IACET guidelines.
  • Continuously evaluate learner feedback and adjust programs to optimize outcomes.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, or related field.
  • 5+ years of instructional design or technical writing experience.
  • 3+ years of team leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple learning projects and deliver on time and within quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and current instructional design trends.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise), Adobe Captivate, Microsoft Office, and LMS platforms.
  • Experience with multimedia tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and video/audio editing software is a plus.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.


Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment (on-site and remote)
  • May require occasional travel or evening/weekend work
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs and sit for extended periods
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment and technology
