Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and empathetic Admissions Coordinator to be the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking treatment. This role plays a vital part in guiding prospective clients through the admissions process, ensuring a smooth transition into care, and helping them take the first step toward recovery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming client inquiries.
- Conduct pre-admission screenings and initial assessments to determine eligibility.
- Collaborate with clinical and medical teams to coordinate evaluations and admissions.
- Accurately document all client interactions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality standards.
- Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage details to clients/families.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, families, and referral sources throughout the intake process.
- Schedule admissions and coordinate transportation if needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, insurance verification, and admissions procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with compassion and professionalism.
