Jazz Club Manager - Caribbean Resort

This position is located in the Caribbean and not in Miami, Florida USA
One of the most beautiful 5* resorts in the Caribbean islands seeks an experienced Live Jazz Club Manager. This individual will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and directing this live entertainment room (Not a Disco) at this top resort, while maintaining a profitable department and high-quality products and service levels. The ideal person will know how to manage people and get them to perform their best and truly live for the brand with passion and excitement.

This individual will work together with the senior management and will provide strategic direction and progressive ideas for booking headliners and other branded entertainment for venues while setting direction for day and nightlife offerings that create guest desire and devotion. Reports to the food and beverage management team
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and follow-through with details in all aspects of executing events, including payment, travel, hotel accommodations and any other arrangements needed for talent.
- Create engaging events and marketing ideas to promote business.
- Manage all accounts payable for talent, vendors and all independent contracted employees
- Proven track record of being able to manage and control your team and costs, while delivering magical experiences to your guests
- Ensure that safety and security of all guests and team members
- Obtain all necessary certificates of operation and know how to operate safely within the law at all times.
- Partner with vendors to maximize revenue opportunities while complying with all regulations
- Able to drive measurable, sustainable sales result
- Accountable for personal productivity and sales to ensure company goals are achieved
- Recognize strategic opportunities for success and generate new and innovative ideas
- Oversee food and beverage service and preparation, staff levels management, door management, security, marketing and first class customer service
- Plans and implements promotions and sales activities
- Ensure flawless FOH and BOH operation by presenting a hands-on management style within the operation during all service times
Qualifications
- Previous USA/Caribbean live entertainment nightclub experience
- A minimum of 5 years of live entertainment/Jazz/Night Club management experience with a top venue
- Effective, proven leadership skills and the ability to build morale
- Through knowledge of local nightlife, trends, music and other factors
- Previous experience in Club Management. Caribbean, US or European experience preferred
- Motivated, passionate and copes well under pressure
Compensation: Annual Salary US$80,000 negotiable based on experience, plus bonus eligible, US$2,500 monthly accommodation allowance, bonus, relocation allowance, annual vacation, and benefits. Looking for the best of the best
