Job Summary
The Porter/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall curb appeal of the apartment community. This role supports the maintenance team by ensuring common areas, amenities, and exterior spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained, creating a positive experience for residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, including hallways, breezeways, stairwells, clubhouses, fitness centers, restrooms, and laundry rooms
- Perform daily trash collection and ensure dumpster areas are clean and organized
- Pick up litter and debris throughout the property grounds
- Assist with trash-out units and light cleaning of vacant apartments
- Clean and maintain amenities such as pools, grills, dog parks, and outdoor seating areas
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or vandalism to the maintenance supervisor
- Assist maintenance team with light tasks as needed (changing light bulbs, pressure washing, moving furniture, etc.)
- Ensure property always meets company and community cleanliness standards
Qualifications
- Previous porter, janitorial, or groundskeeping experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically able to lift, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Schedule & Availability
- Full-time availability
- Weekday and/or weekend shifts may be required
- Flexible scheduling preferred
