Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Punta Gorda, FL, this contract position offers the opportunity to serve K-12 students within a vibrant school setting as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). The role primarily involves providing speech and language services to a diverse student population, supporting their communication development and educational success throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), if applicable.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or state licensure in speech-language pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship status (SLP-CF).
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-12.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively across multiple school sites.
Additional Information:
- Contract start date: January 5, 2026, through June 1, 2026.
- Full-time position averaging 37.5 hours per week, with part-time options potentially available.
- Multiple positions available, primarily within various locations of the East Zone.
- Caseloads vary depending on school assignment.
- On-site role based in Punta Gorda, FL.
