Job Description
Overview
A high-acuity acute care hospital in Miami, Florida is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced, patient-centered respiratory care across emergency, critical care, and inpatient settings.
This role supports complex patient populations and requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and the ability to manage both invasive and noninvasive ventilatory support in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities

Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressures
-
Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate patient response to respiratory therapy
-
Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
-
Assist with placement and management of artificial airways

Initiate, monitor, and maintain invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation
-
Monitor therapeutic response and intervene appropriately for adverse or unintended outcomes
-
Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients
-
Respond to emergent situations, including codes and rapid responses, ensuring airway integrity and effective ventilation
Qualifications
Required:
-
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/RCP) credential
-
Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or vocational school graduate
-
Active Florida Respiratory Therapist license
-
BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
Preferred:
-
Experience in acute care, trauma, or critical care environments
-
Strong ventilator management and emergency response skills
