Full-Time Medical Receptionists and Medical Assistants needed – Join Our Dermatology Team in Port Charlotte!
Are you professional, energetic, and ready to make a difference every day? South Florida Skin Center is hiring Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists for our fast-paced dermatology practice. Full-time roles, training provided, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth.
For over 30 years, our family-owned, father-son dermatology practice has served the Port Charlotte community with warmth, integrity, and advanced skin cancer care. Without corporate ties, we keep medicine personal—focusing on individualized treatment, lasting relationships, and genuine compassion.
Medical Receptionist – Front Office Role
As the face of our practice, you’ll:
- Greet patients with professionalism and empathy
- Efficiently manage phones, scheduling, and patient check-in/out
- Use medical office software and stay comfortable with technology
- Ensure accurate patient information and smooth front-desk flow
- Provide clear communication and support to patients throughout their visit
- Work closely with a supportive clinical team and assist as needed
- Experience with Phreesia is a plus
Medical Assistant – Clinical Role
As a key part of our clinical team, you’ll:
- Provide hands-on patient care with professionalism and empathy
- Room patients, obtain accurate medical histories, and document in the EMR
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms to ensure smooth patient flow
- Assist providers during dermatologic examinations and procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and proper instrument handling
- Support a wide range of dermatologic services and procedures
- Educate patients on post-procedure instructions and treatment plans
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, patient-focused environment
Ideal Candidate (Both Roles):
- Professional, energetic, and attentive to detail
- Compassionate and patient-focused in all interactions
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced medical setting
- Tech-savvy and eager to learn new software
- Experience with ModMed/EMA is a plus
- Punctual, reliable, and consistent
- Medical office or clinical experience preferred, but on-the-job training is available
- Motivated to grow — we support continued education and skill development
Compensation & Benefits:
- $15/hr starting pay, negotiable based on experience
- Pay increase after a 60-day probationary period
