Position:
Exotech is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II to join our growing maintenance team. We are looking for a dynamic individual with proven experience in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of manufacturing and factory equipment, both light and heavy duty.
This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment uptime and operational efficiency across all production areas. The successful candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and capable of identifying and addressing issues before they impact productivity. Beyond technical expertise, we're looking for someone who brings initiative and readiness to collaborate with a team to develop, improve, and implement new maintenance procedures as our company scales.
Compensation, Benefits, Schedule, and Location
- Compensation: The salary range is $ 22.00 to $24.00 per hour + Generous Bonus
- Benefits: Generous paid time off, medical insurance, life insurance and short-term disability insurance is covered at 100% for the employee, vision, dental, and long-term disability insurance, and 401k employer matching up to 4% of salary
- Schedule: Regular work hours are generally 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with flexibility
- Location: This is an in-person position at the facility in Pompano Beach, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and address maintenance issues to prevent equipment downtime
- Perform preventive maintenance on light and heavy equipment
- Create and close work orders in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS - Limble), logging labor, parts, and maintenance performed
- Troubleshoot and repair production machinery with minimal supervision
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas in clean and safe conditions
- Use tools and equipment according to safety requirements and wear required PPE at all times
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings
- Support the team with real-time production and fluid process troubleshooting
- Communicate effectively with vendors, leaders, team members, and other employees
- Assist in coordinating subcontractor activities as needed
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as an industrial mechanical maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine troubleshooting
- Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment repair
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and OEM manuals
- Basic computer skills and the ability to enter and track data in a CMMS
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English
