Job Title: Traveling Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher 2025/2026 School Year
Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, Contracted through ProCare Therapy
Location: Statewide Assignments in Florida (Traveling/Itinerant Position)
About the Role:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join our team for the 20252026 school year. This is a traveling position serving multiple schools within Florida. The DHH teacher will provide specialized instruction and support services to students with hearing impairments, ensuring access to the curriculum and fostering academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across assigned schools.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on each students needs.
- Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessibility for students with hearing impairments.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, speech-language pathologists, and other staff.
- Support the use of assistive listening devices and other communication tools.
- Monitor and report student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Travel between assigned school sites as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Valid Florida teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf or Hard of Hearing education.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel between multiple school sites.
Contract Details:
- School-based schedule following district calendars.
- Full-time or part-time availability considered.
