Are you an experienced Structural Steel Welder / Fitter looking for a new opportunity? A top employer in the Tampa, FL area is looking for a skilled and dedicated welder to join their team. This is a first-shift, full-time position with a competitive wage based on experience.

What You'll Do
As a Structural Steel Welder / Fitter, you will be a key part of the fabrication process. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Fabricating and assembling structural steel components according to engineering blueprints and schematics.

Reading and interpreting detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

MIG welding and tacking steel components with precision.

Measuring and marking materials for cutting, notching, and bending.

Operating shop equipment such as overhead cranes, grinders, band saws, iron workers, and drills.

Performing quality checks on your work to ensure all products meet high standards.

Utilizing torches and lasers as needed.

Laying out, fitting, and tacking all assembly parts for final welding.

Grinding and finishing completed products.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a reliable and skilled welder with the following qualifications:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Structural Steel Welder, Fabricator, or Fitter.

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.

Proficiency in MIG welding.

Strong math skills, including the ability to compute fractions.

Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods
