Entry-Level Sewing Machine Operator (Needlepoint Kits)
PrideStaff is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join a high-volume needlepoint shop in West Palm Beach!
This is a fantastic Temp-to-Hire opportunity for someone looking to build their skills in a creative, "family-style" environment where you can listen to your own music while you work.
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM 1/2 hour lunch (37.5 hours per week)
Role Overview
As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will play a key role in the final production of high-quality needlepoint kits sold nationwide. Your primary task will be sewing a 1-inch binding tape around the edges of the needlepoint canvas to give it a professional, finished look.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Sewing: Use a Brother sewing machine to sew binding tape around the perimeter of canvas sheets.
- Finishing: Execute clean, straight lines and expertly finish the corners (3 corners per piece) to meet quality standards.
- Consistency: Maintain a steady pace to meet the demands of a high-volume production environment.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished kits to ensure the binding is secure and the presentation is flawless.
Qualifications
- Entry-Level Welcome: No professional sewing experience is required, but you must have a basic comfort level with a sewing machine or a strong desire to learn.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Strong manual dexterity and an eye for straight lines are essential.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance for the 9 AM – 5 PM shift.
- Focus: Ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail.
