Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pediatric-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Tavernier, FL, serving children ages 2 to 18 in a K-12 school setting under a one-year contract with potential for extension or permanent placement. This role involves working in an outpatient clinic environment with an emphasis on individualized therapy rather than group sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy targeting pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing, articulation, and support for high-functioning autism.
- Monitor progress primarily for children with mild to moderate communication challenges.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to advocate and plan for student needs.
- Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in pediatric settings with school-aged children (ages 2-18).
- Expertise in pediatrics, including familiarity with school-based therapy and outpatient clinical practices.
- Completion or current status as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLP is acceptable.
- Knowledgeable in addressing pragmatic language difficulties, reading and writing delays, and articulation disorders.
- Skilled in supporting children diagnosed with high-functioning autism.
- Comfortable working with mild to moderate cases; no medically fragile clients are served.
