Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist – Pediatric performs diagnostic imaging procedures for pediatric patients in a hospital setting. This role includes general radiography, portable imaging, fluoroscopy, trauma, and operating room (OR) imaging while ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and adherence to hospital policies and radiation safety standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures for pediatric inpatients and outpatients
- Conduct portable imaging and assist with imaging in the Operating Room (OR)
- Perform fluoroscopy and trauma imaging, including C-arm procedures
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and maintain high image quality
- Follow radiation safety protocols and hospital guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate documentation in hospital systems
- Ensure proper care and safety for all pediatric patients
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of a Radiography program from an AMA-accredited school
- Active Florida State Radiography License
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registration
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Minimum 2 years of radiography experience; pediatric experience required
- Experience with portable imaging, C-arms, fluoroscopy, and general radiography
- Strong patient care and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience working in a children’s hospital setting
