We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator to join our team! If you have asphalt paving experience and are looking to grow your career, we want to speak with you!

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Previous experience in paving and in operating asphalt screed is required.
• Out of town/county/or state work may be required.
• Ability to follow traffic control instructions and practice safety standards per company safety policy requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-year experience operating screed controls.
• Operator on the asphalt paver making normal adjustments for obtaining proper depth, grade and finished cross section of asphalt material via screed extensions.
• Requires observation of the distribution of paving material along the screed and control of the screed to eliminate voids at curbs and joints.
• Will set up screed electronics in conjunction with the paver operator.
• The Screed Operator is responsible for the operation of the screed mechanism on paver to raise or lower the screed to control the depth and width of the asphalt mat and assisting with all phases of the paving operation.
• Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager.
