We are seeking a responsible and proactive Security Guard to support our efforts in providing a safe and welcoming campus for all. The position involves monitoring activity, preventing security issues, and responding promptly to incidents in coordination with the Campus Security team.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen all visitors at the guardhouse by verifying identity and purpose of visit and use Concierge iPad to issue visitor passes and maintain accurate entry records.
  • Announce visitor arrivals to appropriate school personnel using internal communication system.
  • Monitor and control access to the school campus and buildings, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
  • Conduct regular inspections of premises, ensuring all security measures are in place.
  • Report suspicious behavior or incidents to school administration or law enforcement as required
  • Assist during emergencies, lockdowns, and drills by securing access points and guiding students, staff, and guiding students, staff, and visitors safely to designated areas.
  • Provide assistance during medical emergencies, including administering CPR and first aid when necessary.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required and provide detailed reports on incidents.
  • Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Must be able to stand for long periods of time and capable of performing all physical requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of security and/or law enforcement related profession, or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
  • Class D Security guard license from state
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Have a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift available: Monday-Friday- 7:00 am-3:30 pm

* Must be able to work extended hours based on job requirement

  • Must provide Criminal Background Check, and Fingerprint Screening.
