Manual Machinist (Lathe & Mill – Metal Fabrication)
Location: Miami, FL
Pay: $20–$22 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist with experience operating manual lathes and mills to support our custom metal fabrication operations. This position focuses on manufacturing precision components used in the assembly of conveyor belt systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on machining experience and is comfortable working with steel and aluminum.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual milling and lathe machines
- Work extensively with Bridgeport Mills and Jet Lathes
- Machine custom parts according to prints, sketches, or specifications
- Fabricate components from steel and aluminum
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality
- Maintain equipment and follow shop safety standards
- Support production needs for conveyor belt assemblies
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist
- Strong knowledge of manual lathe and mill operations
- Experience with Bridgeport Mill and Jet Lathe
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Familiarity with machining steel and aluminum
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
