Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Providing Speech-Language Pathology services in K-12 educational settings along the Southeast Florida Coast, this contract position offers a variety of work environments with full and part-time options available. Assignments primarily focus on middle and K-8 schools, with additional evaluation duties at district offices. The role requires an active Florida SLP license and working knowledge of school-aged student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to students K-12, supporting communication development and addressing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Manage caseload across assigned schools, commonly including Dan McCarty Middle School (4 days/week), Forest Grove Middle School (1 day/week), and Oak Hammock K-8 (2 days/week).
  • Conduct evaluations within private school settings as part of the evaluation team, requiring a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Collaborate with educational staff, including special education professionals and assistive personnel, to support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide therapy and assessment for diverse student populations, including those in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) cluster sites and Inclusion (InD) units.

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience serving school-aged children (K-12) in speech-language pathology roles.
  • Ability to work independently, especially on days where the SLP is the sole provider on campus.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required for evaluation roles.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules across multiple school sites within Southeast Florida.

Location:

  • Fort Pierce, Florida, with assignments at nearby middle schools, K-8 schools, and district offices.

Additional Details:

  • No hybrid or remote work arrangements; in-person presence required.
  • Caseload and school assignments vary but generally involve one primary campus.
