Do you have a passion for repairing cars? Are you a car enthusiast and follower? We are looking for an experienced collision structural technician who will be responsible for restoring structural dimensions and integrity to collision-damaged vehicles.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Approaches repair planning with a sense of urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework later in the process.
- De-trims and disassembles vehicles.
- Performs pre-pulls to make repair vs. replace decision.
- Identifies and orders parts as necessary.
- Uses good judgment to decide when damaged parts can be safely repaired for cost and cycle-time savings.
- Maintains parts/materials carts in an organized manner.
- Meets or exceeds our requirements for productivity as measured by hours per day for each repair order.
- Utilizes technical information sheet attached to the work order for all structural repairs, replacement, airbag, and mechanical work.
- Utilizes all required safety equipment. Participates in monthly safety meetings.
- Keeps personal work area organized.
- Returns tools and equipment promptly.
Education/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- ICAR or ASE certifications are heavily preferred.
- Manufacturer certifications are heavily preferred.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged vehicles including body work and when to replace or repair parts.
- 1+ years as a structural technician required.
- 1 + years working at a dealership collision department preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation within the West Palm Beach area.
- Positive attitude.
- Strong work ethic.
- A valid driver's license,
