Gortemoller Engineering is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our experienced, competitive, and diverse team of professionals. In this role, you will support a wide range of engineering efforts and gain invaluable hands-on experience contributing to projects that shape the future of Bay County and the Florida Panhandle.
Position Overview
As part of our Engineering Design Group, you will collaborate on multidisciplinary projects including:
- Site development
- Water and wastewater facilities
- Environmental remediation
- Ports and coastal infrastructure
- Roadway and highway design
You will work closely with the Design Team and Project Managers to support project execution and contribute to high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of engineering designs, reports, and construction documents
- Conduct permitting research and review land-development codes
- Prepare and submit permit applications
- Support various phases of project development across multiple disciplines
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- U.S. work authorization required (Gortemoller Engineering cannot provide sponsorship at this time)
- Interest in OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and eager to learn
