As we continue to expand our horizons, we're seeking a proactive and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Project Manager at DDEC, you will play a pivotal role in executing our projects to perfection.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project responsibility, scheduling, safety, staff compliance, staff developments and reviews, buyouts, contract negotiation, and quality control.
  • Manage client relationships, project planning, and project document management.
  • Assist in scheduling and/or facilitating the various project meetings.
  • Assist in conducting site visits and site inspections to monitor progress, assess compliance with specifications, and address any on-site challenges.
  • Keep management informed concerning the progress of a project and any issues that might affect the schedule, budget, or status of a project.
  • Assist in the closeout of the project.
  • Collect, maintain and updated GIS data related to transportation infrastructure, public transit, road networks, traffic, land use, and other mobility-related factors.
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the incumbent may be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • One (1) year of project management in transportation or construction-related experience with related degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the construction process and understanding of the specifications and field labor.
  • Knowledge of the project management process and principles of scheduling and estimating.
  • Strong skills in time management, communication, and the ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all parties involved in the construction project, while handling difficult issues.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage diverse tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to upholding high-quality standards.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
  • Willingness to travel to various site locations
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License and safe-driving record.
