We’re hiring a paralegal to assist our probate department in preparing legal documents, filing pleadings, coordinating law office activity, and conducting legal research. Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
- Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
- Help lawyers by assisting with client meetings, filing pleadings, coordinating hearings, conducting research, and organizing and scheduling conferences.
- Draft legal documents, letters, pleadings, affidavits, and orders under the guidance of a lawyer
Qualifications:
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
- Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
- At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Talented communicator and writer
