White Sands Treatment Center, a leading provider of behavioral health and recovery services, is seeking an experienced Information Technology Specialist to join our team in Tampa, FL. This role is critical to supporting our mission by ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our technology systems.
About the Role
As the IT Specialist, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, manage projects, and provide recommendations on IT policies and procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining servers, networks, and hardware, while also ensuring compliance with state and federal confidentiality laws. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced, healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, manage, and maintain the server environment (Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, ERP, CRM).
- Secure all servers and manage disaster recovery processes, including backups.
- Provide repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting for hardware, networks, and software.
- Install, configure, and maintain software across systems.
- Manage IT budgets, inventory, and procurement of hardware/software.
- Coordinate and deliver IT training and support for staff.
- Ensure accuracy, security, and quality in all IT-related documentation and processes.
- Stay up to date with current technology through training, seminars, and workshops.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and organizational information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science (Associate’s Degree with 3+ years of experience may substitute).
- Minimum of 3 years of IT experience.
- Certifications: CCNA, Network+, A+, and Microsoft certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with state and federal confidentiality laws.
- CPR certification required (can be maintained after hire).
- Must pass background and drug screening.
